The Washington Academy considers all qualified applicants between the ages of five and 21 regardless of race, gender or religion.
Students are classified as educationally disabled under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and N.J.A.C. 6A:14 with one or more disabling conditions. Our students are unable to successfully remain in their local school districts due to the need for a program which addresses their unique academic, behavioral and emotional needs. Placement in Washington Academy provides small group and class instruction, specialized materials and equipment, counseling, and structured intervention.
